TANK-CAR Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: tank-car has body made of composite material and consisting of bottom plates and shell, platform with frame furnished with cradles two extreme ones of which are connected with frame by struts, end face protection shields, brake and automatic couplers and running gear parts and units holding the body to frame and made in form of part of shell projecting beyond the bottom plate confines and connected by bolts with cradle sheet. End face of cradle sheet has flange with threaded hole to receive thrust bolts engaging with body shell end face through gasket. Middle part of platform has additional cradle with resilient gasket placed between cradle sheet and body shell. End face protection shields are made in form of wedge to move away foreign objects. EFFECT: uniform distribution of loads on frame, reduced labour input in manufacture, enhanced safety. 3 cl, 5 dwg
