FIELD: devices for engraving machines, in particular, automatic devices for charging and discharge of engraving cylinders. SUBSTANCE: engraving machine has cylinder, workhead and tailstock, carriage movable in parallel with cylinder axis, engraving head, cylinder rotating main drive block and controller. Auxiliary drive block is connected to workhead and tailstock for providing movement of cylinder. Controller is connected with drive blocks and carriage and adapted for receiving at least one parameter of cylinder and switching auxiliary drive block for operation. Position of cylinder is automatically adjusted on the basis of mentioned parameter. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 34 cl, 6 dwg
