FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to etching machines and etching devices intended for decorative finishing of articles from various materials by accurate image transfer from original onto workpiece surface. Etching machine comprises frame, carriage coupled therewith to displace above workpiece surface and supporting etching device with vibrodrive to impart impact oscillations to etching tool, etching tool motor drive of rotation and tool vertical displacement mechanism. Note here that motor drive of tool rotation is fixed at said carriage. Note also that etching tool is fitted in spindle. The latter is coupled with vibrodrive support to oscillate therewith. Said spindle is driven by motor, or by magnets operated without mechanical contact, or via flexible shaft.
EFFECT: higher quality of etching, decreased weight of oscillating components.
