FIELD: nuclear power engineering; type RBMK nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: rod-type assembly spacer grid is cellular structure built up of intermediate and peripheral shaped cells arranged around central cylindrical cell with cylindrical rim around it and bosses over its perimeter. Spacer grid is characterized in that at least part of peripheral cells are displaced through height relative to intermediate ones at distance equal to minimum six-fold wall thickness of shaped cells and to maximum the height of intermediate cell for installing at least one shaped spacer casing in boundary between intermediate and peripheral cells. Heat transfer intensifiers may be arranged on spacer casing. EFFECT: improved operating reliability of fuel assemblies due to improved power safety factor up to burnout. 4 cl, 13 dwg
