FIELD: nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: each component of spacer grid rim has one of its ends provided with lip of height equal to rim width; other end of rim is placed on this lip and secured by spot welding in overlapping manner; mating joint between rim components is smaller in width than channel between peripheral cells and rim and its lip is arranged in one of them; each edge of rim is provided in top and bottom parts with coolant baffle plates arranged over entire length from periphery to center at angle of 15-30 deg. Baffle plates are made in the form of lugs and placed between fuel elements over peripheral row. Reliable joint is provided between rim components; reactor incorporates provision for equalizing coolant heat transfer.
