FIELD: nuclear engineering; nuclear-reactor fuel assembly spacer grids.
SUBSTANCE: proposed spacer grid designed for assembling rods, for instance with their square packing, is essentially set of sleeves adjoining each other, separated by means of strap into two identical subchannels with central member to receive rods and with encircling rim tightly abutting against them. At least some of sleeves having pairwise opposing similar parallel side edges are disposed in line and are provided with common strap passed through them which divides each sleeve into two subchannels; width of each of two opposing edges passed through mentioned straps should be greater than that of each of its remaining side edges.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of fuel assemblies, facilitated manufacture of spacer grid.
