FIELD: signal encoding. SUBSTANCE: one claim of invention discloses method for encoding of several signals (k1, k2), which are not independent, using appropriate encoding method by means of detection of similarity using encoding of one of signals (k1, k2) by "intensity-stereo" method and then decoded in order to generate signal (ki1, ki2) with encoding error. Then this signal and corresponding signal without encoding are converted into frequency spectrum. Frequency spectrum operations involve selection or evaluation of perceived spectral components for both signal (ki1, ki2) with encoding error and corresponding signal (k1, k2) without encoding error using listening threshold which is found by means of acoustic analysis involving psychological tests. In case of high similarity level, "intensity-stereo" method is used for encoding. Otherwise channels are encoded separately.
