WORKING TABLE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: special-purpose furniture. SUBSTANCE: working table has table top mounted on base and provided with rear and side rails. Side rails have rounded ribs and provided with guides for moving protective screen above table top. Protective screen is formed from pivotally connected planks and is Z-folded and fastened at table rear wall. Protective screen is provided with grip member formed as flexible tie-rod with handle and loop-shaped locking members pivotally attached to movable end of protective screen at its outer side. Loop-shaped members are adapted to be engaged by clips of drawer which may be locked by key. When retracted drawer is locked by key, loop-shaped members are engaged by clips to make lock for protective screen. Pole with rollers at its ends is mounted at rear side of table top. Rollers are provided with slots for receiving flexible tie-rod. Table may be used by cashier, with table surface being protected from unauthorized access and, at the same time, table top may be viewed through transparent side and rear rails. Such construction of working table allows table top to be completely or partially covered, and, at the same time, protected from unauthorized access in case of temporary absence of operator. EFFECT: simplified and compact construction, convenient usage and enhanced reliability in operation. 9 cl, 8 dwg
