METHOD OF TREATING CLOSED FRACTURES OF PATELLAE LIGAMENT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: two semipurse-string sutures are made subcutaneously with reinserting needle into thread outlet holes. The first suture passes through desmectasis of femoral tetraceps, round patellae and across the sides of its own ligament, and the second suture passes through tuberosity of shin bone toward outlet sites of ligatures of the first suture. The two sutures are then joined in position of bringing the patellae downwards, while immersing knots under skin. Thereafter, brought together ends of ligament are fixed percutaneously by adapting sutures. EFFECT: reduced traumatism of knees and prevented infective complications.
