FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy, more specifically, methods of recovery of noble metals, in particular, platinum from deactivated catalysts. SUBSTANCE: platinum catalysts on carriers from aluminum oxide are treated with alkali solution in autoclave with introduction of addition from solution of formaldehyde, isopropyl alcohol and solution of aluminum nitride taken in equal ratio in the amount of 0.1-1.0% of catalyst weight. Platinum yield is 99.8%. EFFECT: reduced losses of platinum with solution. 2 cl
