FIELD: thermal engineering (including nuclear power engineering); steam-turbine and combined- cycle plants using any type of fuel for combined heat and power generation. SUBSTANCE: when plant is running to produce heat of high quantity for particular steaming capacity, working medium is conveyed bypassing heated side of at least one high-pressure regenerative heater, heated side of mentioned heater or heaters is changed over to heat-transfer circulating loop of heat load, and in the process boiler or steam generator capacity is either raised at its preset steaming capacity or boiler or steam generator capacity is simultaneously raised and its steaming capacity is changed according to changed range of enthalpies (and, hence, temperature) of working medium heated in boiler or steam generator. Steam power plant implementing this method has respective parts, shut-off and control valves. EFFECT: improved power and resource conservation technology. 6 cl, 7 dwg
