FIELD: nuclear power engineering; type RBMK reactors. SUBSTANCE: reactor fuel assemblies are filled with uranium oxide, hafnium, and erbium. Maximum concentration of hafnium is 2% and that of erbium is 0.3%. Such fuel assemblies make it possible to dispense with additional absorbers in reactor core, to increase amount of fuel in core, to raise reactor safety and energy generation, to reduce variations in energy release, fuel transportation, refueling, storage, and disposal charges. EFFECT: improved safety and service life of reactor, reduced maintenance charges and leveling-cost fuel component. 4 dwg
