FIELD: agriculture, in particular, growing of plants in protected ground constructions. SUBSTANCE: method involves covering soil in each block of greenhouse with covering material and supplying steam to area under covering material; upon heating of soil to 30-60% of freezing depth before steam supplying, interrupting heating process; providing air flows in each block of greenhouse in countercurrency and along opposite boundaries of respective block. Method enables circular air flows to provide uniform heating of internal medium in each block of greenhouse and drying of soil, with soil moisture content upon defrosting and steam treatment being of increased value. Increased moisture content within each block facilitates protection of soil even from sudden strong cooling off, which often occurs at the end of February and at the beginning of March. EFFECT: reduced power consumption and increased efficiency in soil treatment during preparing of soil for plant growing.
