METHOD OF TREATING NATURAL GAS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: processes of treatment of natural hydrocarbon gas prior to its transportation; may be used in gas and oil industry. SUBSTANCE: method of preparation of hydrocarbon gas includes stage separation with cooling of gas flow between stages of separation, introduction of inhibitor of hydrating in the form of methanol; withdrawal from separators of liquid phase and separation of it into hydrocarbon and water-methanol phases; supply of liquid hydrocarbons from the first separation stage for countercurrent contacting with separated gas to the last stage of separation; combination of liquid phases from the last and intermediate separation stages; separation of water-methanol phase from obtained mixture and its supplying for contacting with gas to the first separation stage; withdrawal from this stage of water-methanol phase and regeneration of methanol from it; return to gas flow of regenerated methanol. In so doing, directed to the methanol regeneration plant is water-methanol phase remaining after stage of contacting with blowing gas. Water-methanol phase has concentration of methanol of not less than 10 mas. % and is, in fact, side-cut of distillation.
