FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: essence of the invention consists in preventing hydrate formation at the molecular level during transportation by pipelines (loops) and decreasing the actual moisture concentration in the hydrocarbon gas stream. The preparation (processing) of the starting hydrocarbon gas includes direct action on the water-containing molecules present in it by introducing into the gas stream the proposed hydrocarbon fraction composition (HFC) boiling in the range 25-360°C, with the potential of a water-insoluble hydrate inhibitor, within the range of 2-90/98-10 by weight, to the present water-containing molecules in the hydrocarbon gas stream and removing the liquid therefrom for separation into the hydrocarbon and aqueous phases, with the latter directed to the industrial effluent, and the hydrocarbon phase to secondary use.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the consumption of the water-soluble volatile organic hydrate inhibitor used.
