FIELD: hand-held tools. SUBSTANCE: this relates to chucks of hand-held drills actuated by electrical or pneumatic drives. These chucks do not need any spanner and can be tightened and released manually or by means of own drive motor. Chuck incorporates bearing clamping ring which is secured on base, and antifriction bearing made as separate unit which is located in direct contact with clamping ring. In addition, chuck accommodates nut which can rotate on bearing when engaged with thread of clamping cams. Chuck also has sleeve which is basically cylindrical in configuration and which is rotatably connected with nut and which covers front part of chuck base so that when front sleeve rotates relative to base clamping cams are moving. Aforesaid embodiment of chuck has following advantages: it improves centering of nut during its tightening, it incorporates minimal number of components, friction between chuck base and nut is minimized, axial and radial loads are reduced. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 20 cl, 3 dwg
