FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: given chuck is meant for use with manual or power electric motor drive. It has nut mounted for rotation relative to case of chuck that can be screwed on thread of cams. Chuck includes independent antifriction bearing unit placed between nut and thrust ring, cylindrical front sleeve engaging nut and embracing nose section of case so that cams will move with rotation of front sleeve. Chuck also has updated member to hold nut fabricated in the form of one part. Both radial and axial stresses emerging in process of work are reduced to minimum in chuck. Chuck is key-free and has minimal number of individual components. It carries improved nose part that is decorative and holds front sleeve in place at same time.
