SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new derivatives of antibiotic "A 40926" of the general formula (I) that have carboxyl, (C_1-C₄)-alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, (C_1-C₄)-alkyl- -aminocarbonyl, di-(C_1-C₄)-alkylaminocarbonyl or hydroxymethyl substituent at N-acylaminoglucuronyl moiety and hydroxyl or polyamine substituent at position 63 of molecule. Compounds show high activity in vitro against enterococci and staphylococci that are resistant to glycopeptides. Synthesis of derivatives of "A 40926" is carried out by reactions of amidation and reduction of amino-group.
