FIELD: wool treating equipment, in particular, primary treating of wool and wool wastes. SUBSTANCE: wool washing apparatus has automatic device for feeding unwashed wool, breaking machine, washing vats, squeezing rolls, automatic washed wool feeder and drying machine. Apparatus is further provided with device adapted for intensifying washing process and arranged upstream of first washing van. This device has conveyor belt for conveying wool into washing van through system of upper pressure rolls, steam pipeline with manometer, thermometer and locking fittings, providing supplying of steam from spraying pipe into zone where upper pressure rolls come into contact with wool on conveyor belt, and from upper and lower detachable rolls adapted for removing steam treated wool and feeding it into washing van.
