FIELD: mining and construction industries. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for driving in ground such articles as supports and piles for construction purposes, and in driving pipes for recovery of mineral substances such as salt solutions, water, etc. Device has following components: coaxial body, circular striker, membrane secured over perimeter to body and creating working chamber in combination with body having openings for delivery and exhaust of compressed air, unit for fastening device to article being driven. Working chamber is divided into two spaces which are connected to each other through annular passage. Inlet opening permanently connects lower space of working chamber with compressed air supply line. Exhaust opening is located in upper space. Installed on cylindrical wall of body smaller diameter is spring-biased bush having circular protrusions. Diameter of upper circular protrusion is larger than smaller diameter of membrane. Diameter of lower circular protrusion is larger than diameter of annular sealing member. Aforesaid embodiment of device is simple in design and is of improved efficiency in process of sinking metal structures. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 8 cl, 4 dwg
