FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to protective devices for swimming pools and other similar pools which are provided with limiting side-boards. Covering can be unrolled or spread out for sheltering of pool or can be rolled in of folded for its removal from pool. Covering has one edge which is connected to first elongated load-bearing device 3, 27. Second opposite edge of covering is connected to second elongated load-bearing device 4, 30. First load-bearing device 3, 27 is secured on foundation 5, 26 which is located beyond side-board of pool. Second load-bearing device 4, 30 is pivotally connected with first load-bearing device so that covering can be converted from folded position to unfolded position by turning second load-bearing device relative to first load-bearing device. Application of aforesaid embodiment of covering for swimming pools and others allows for reduction of evaporation and for preventing deterioration of additives. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 8 cl, 7 dwg
