FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to packing devices used in test-pressing of casing strings. Device has body with central axial passage and seat in internal surface. Installed on body of device is packing member with lower support and spacer ring. Device is provided with housing which creates annular space between its internal surface and external surface of body. Located in this annular space is piston which is connected with spring-biased pusher. Mounted on seat of body is valve unit which is made in the form of axially movable bush with retainers, shear member, and seat on its upper end. Body is provided with axial passages which connect annular space with central axial passage. Shear member is installed with possibility for limited longitudinal displacement of ball-type locking member which is installed in seat of bush. Aforesaid embodiment of packer is of higher reliability in operation and simple to manufacture. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
