FIELD: means of protection of inlet optics of armored vehicles against bullets and fragments. SUBSTANCE: armored guard has a sight cap with protective glass and armored cover. The armored cover has an opening corresponding to the sight field of vision with due account made for the angle of pumping in the vertical plane. An additional armored cover with slits and a quick-acting opening drive is installed before this cover. Shoulders are installed around the edges of the armored cover opening and outside around the edges of the additional armored cover, their width and height corresponds to the thickness of the respective covers. The additional cover has a thickness providing for compensation of the decrease of its strength because of the slits. EFFECT: enhanced protection of inlet optics of thermovision sight with reduction of its efficiency in combat conditions. 1 dwg
