SUBSTANCE: according to the first embodiment, the protection device with a manual drive for opening and closing the protective cover of the optical device of the combat vehicle comprises a protective cover for the optical device and a manual drive for opening and closing the protective cover. The protective cover has an axis for fastening the lever of the manual drive for opening and closing and is made with slots located in front of the optical axes of the device and providing visibility through the device with the cover closed in the entire range of vertical guidance of the optical axes of the device. According to the second embodiment, the protection device with a manual drive for opening and closing the protective cover of the optical device of the combat vehicle comprises a protective cover of the optical device and a manual drive for opening and closing the protective cover, including a lever, a link, a limiter and a handle. One end of the lever is rigidly fixed on the axis of the protective cover, and the other is pivotally connected to the rod. The rod is structurally made with a groove for fixing the protective cover in the closed position with the limiter axis and with a T-slot for fixing the protective cover in the open position with the limiter axis, and the rod has a handle at its free end.
