FIELD: equipment for protecting individual's face and respiratory organs from dangerous environmental contaminants. SUBSTANCE: air respirator has airduct connected with source, which supplies air under pressure exceeding atmospheric pressure, inlet locking device communicated with outlet nozzle via channels. Nozzle outlet channels are configured and sized so as to define closed contour with their perimeter sections. At least one wall forming outlet channels may be positioned at an angle, for instance right angle, to nozzle longitudinal axis. Outlet channels are formed from combined contraction and diffuser channels positioned in succession along air flow direction and having uniform total section. Device for regulating total outlet channels area may be made in the form of threaded connection providing variable communication between walls. Device for retaining movable wall of outlet channels in fixed position relative to immovable wall may be made in the form of retainer with spring and retainer receiving recesses. Inlet locking device and outlet nozzle are communicated one with the other and positioned in common housing. Locking device plug is formed as hollow truncated cone with bottom, pin positioned at smaller diameter side of bottom and air channels. Protective shield surrounds outlet nozzle. Housing is provided with attachment beads. Stand for attaching housing is formed from members which may be kinematically connected one with another. Stand and carcass are kinematically connected and fixed one relative to another. Hoses may be connected with airduct through T-piece by means of easily detachable fixable device. Carcass may be fastened on user's body by fittings, such as belts and suspenders. Respirator may be fastened on user's head by means of stand through fixable kinematic connection.
