CYLINDRICAL MECHANISM OF LOCK WITH KEY Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: locking devices. SUBSTANCE: this has body with central hole and with cylindrical working space having rectangular longitudinal slot and cylindrical through-passages, spring, working cylinder with rectangular slot, cylindrical bushes. Located on ends of theses bushes are washers. Key is made in the form of cylindrical case, and located inside this case is stepped member. Diameter of steps of cylindrical stepped member of key corresponds to diameters of cylindrical bushes of lock. Length of steps of cylindrical stepped member is selected so that when key is inserted washers are located against cylindrical through-passages in cylindrical working space. In addition, made in key body is rectangular slot which receives protrusion provided on external bush of lock. For more secrecy and for simplification of lock design, key body and steps in key, bushes in lock body can be made not cylindrical but of any other enclosed configuration being not body of revolution. Also for more secrecy, cylindrical working space can be provided with special cylindrical passage which accommodates washer interlocking mechanism. To reduce length of structure, central hole in lock body can be aligned with working space. In this case, width of bush with washer is reduced to width of washer. Working cylinder has two rectangular slots which receive rectangular protrusions of washers. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 13 dwg
