FIELD: ammunition. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to bullets used in cartridges for rifled weapons to shoot beasts having mass between 100 and 150 kg. Proposed bullet has metal jacket with cut in head part and lead core with flat front butt placed in jacket. Bullet has notches located on cut of jacket and grooves of variable depth diminishing towards cut. Tail part of jacket is bent and tail part of core has recess in the form of hemisphere. Thickness of wall of head part amounts to 0.70-0.80 thickness of wall of lead part of jacket. Notches are made in the form of developed isosceles triangle with height equal to 0.6-0.8 mm and base of not more than 0.8 mm. Grooves are made in outer surface of head part of jacket. Depth of grooves close to cut equals 0.15 mm and their length amounts to 0.35-0.50 length of head part of jacket. Invention makes it feasible to enhance reliability of actuation of bullet especially when it hits light tissues of beast. Ratio of parameters of jacket and core and their configuration provide for mass and position of center of mass of bullet identical to mass and position of center of mass of bullet of standard cartridge and therefore there is no need to introduce changes to sight of standard carbine. EFFECT: enhanced hitting capabilities. 1 cl, 3 dwg
