SHEEP FEEDER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2125790 C1

FIELD: animal farming. SUBSTANCE: sheep feeder has S-shaped grid loosely suspended in feeder window and adapted for cooperation with resilient movable dividers through flexible kinematic coupling. Dividers urge feed to flow from hopper into troughs without clogging. Animal consumes feed through S-shaped grid. Such construction allows overfilling of trough to be eliminated, feed loss through grids to be excluded and self-regulated balance to be provided. Animal feeding areas are equipped with separators covered with heat-insulating material to eliminate freezing of animal's muzzle open portions to separators. EFFECT: reduced feed loss, decreased consumption of daily labor for charging and dispensing of feed to animals by increased effective volume of feeder within the limits of its dimensions. 3 cl, 1 dwg
