APPARATUS FOR DISPENSING FEEDS TO ANIMALS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2130710 C1

FIELD: animal farming, in particular, sheep feeding equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has rectangular frame with rods attached to frame upper and lower sides to define grate with rod pitch exceeding animal's lip width. Side of frame oriented away from animal is in contact with hay stack. Grate end is defined by S-shaped rods whose ends are attached to frame opposite sides. Lower side of grate is formed as grid-type trough with front feeding side having flexible skirt for catching and returning of feed spilled during animal feeding. Construction of apparatus allows labor consumed for extraction, conveyance and charging of feed into feeders to be reduced due to realization of "hay stack-feed dispenser-animal" system. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and reduced hay loss. 2 cl, 4 dwg
