FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: farm machine has supersonic apparatus 1 adapted for determining altitude above earth surface and provided with transmitter 2 and receiver 3. Machine is further provided with circuit for processing delivered signals and controlling or regulating device for changing working height of working mechanism. At least two supersonic apparatuses 1 are offset in transverse directions relative to machine advancement direction. Supersonic apparatuses generate signals, which determinate controlling or regulating device and are tuned in similar manner. Signal processing circuit is tuned so that working height of working mechanism is reduced only in case all supersonic apparatuses 1 deliver signal for lowering working mechanism. Working height of working mechanism is increased, when at least one supersonic apparatus 1 delivers signal for raising working mechanism. Such construction prevents negative action of soil tillage traces on results of measurement of height.
