FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: beet digger has drive part equipped with front deck, underdigging devices mounted before front deck and adapted for extraction of beets from soil through the entire width of beet digger and feeding thereof onto transverse conveyor also mounted before front deck, and transportation and cleaning portion extending lengthwise of drive part and vertically adjoining thereto. Extracted beets are directed from transverse conveyor onto transportation and cleaning portion by means of elevator belt which transports beets from transverse conveyor through front wheel of front deck. Hopper for cleaned beets is disposed at end of transportation and cleaning portion. Transportation width of elevator belt is smaller by at least one third than width of beet digger. Elevator belt transports beets through operating zone where active cleaning devices are positioned. Active cleaning device are equipped with at least one drive.
EFFECT: simplified construction and improved quality of cleaning agricultural products.
