FLAT FOLDABLE CHAIR Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: production of foldable furniture. SUBSTANCE: chair has pivotally connected frame and support, seat positioned for joining with its rear part to middle cross-piece of support, when chair is in its unfolded position. Frame poles are provided with channel-shaped slots made in pole central part. Width of poles is equal to thickness of chair in its folded position. Stops fixed on support poles are adapted for contacting with seat sides. Seat attachment brackets are also fixed on support poles. Seat sides are provided with slots having sizes exceeding bracket cross section. Side middle parts are provided with recesses which come into contact with frame middle cross-piece, when chair is in unfolded position. Rear part of recesses has projecting tail end which is in contact with support middle cross-piece. Support middle cross-piece has angular slots extending along edges and is fixed on support poles so that gap is defined between slot walls and pole inner surface. Frame middle cross-piece has recess made in the center of its lower part. Pins fixed on seat sides are in contact with frame pole recesses. EFFECT: simplified construction, increased convenience and enhanced reliability in operation. 10 cl, 6 dwg
