FIELD: production of furniture. SUBSTANCE: chair has flat mounting carrier frames including back poles and base mounted on legs, which are connected in pairs by connecting members. Chair seat has profiled transverse planks fastened on working bar-type supports. Ends of seat supports are received in longitudinal slots of base ends. Actuating screws are positioned in parallel with longitudinal slots. Actuating screw nuts are disposed in sleeves fixed in seat supports. Method involves forming carrier frames from front leg and rear leg which are interconnected by connecting member and base side, with rear leg being aligned with back pole; inserting base ends into leg slots in direction perpendicular to carrier frame, which is preferably laid in horizontal plane; inserting back into pole slots; placing seat supports in longitudinal slots of base ends and hermetically closing by means of second frame, with power closing being effectuated by furniture attachment screw pairs in connection units. Method provides unified and versatile production of chairs having rigid spatial construction. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 4 dwg
