PRODUCT AS A SOLID ROD OF DEODORANT AND A METHOD OF ITS MAKING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: cosmetic agents, solid deodorants. SUBSTANCE: solid product has 65-85% aliphatic polyhydric alcohol, about 3-12% gel-forming substance and 0.05-0.2% usninic acid. Its composition exhibits chromatogram pattern obtained by HPLC method showing usninic acid peak and peak of its degradation component where usninic acid peak area exceeds that of degradation component by at least 10 times. Method of making involves preparing polyhydric aliphatic alcohol, its heating to 75 C, addition of gel-forming agent, stirring the obtained mixture up to gel-forming substance dissolving, cooling and addition of usninic acid solution up to 70 C.
