CUTTING HEAD Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mining equipment and accessories. SUBSTANCE: this relates to mining industry and to construction engineering. Cutting head has body with convexity in its front end. Attached to body by means of soldering with using hard solder are cutting inserts which are arranged over periphery of open end of convexity. Cutting inserts are located at some space from each other so that clearance is provided between adjacent cutting inserts. Size of this clearance is sufficient for preventing formation of continuous soldered joint between any adjacent cutting inserts. Aforesaid embodiment of cutting head prolongs its service life.
