FIELD: optical and electronic equipment. SUBSTANCE: binocular magnifying glass is used in the capacity of binocular for night-vision devices with electron-optical converter under various operational conditions. It includes four components. First component is manufactured in the form of positive meniscus facing object with concavity, second component is positive lens, third and fourth components are rhombic prisms guiding ray reflected from object into right and left eyes. Rhombic prisms are positioned after second component, positive meniscus has focal power equal to 0.3-0.7 focal power of binocular magnifying glass and is placed at distance equal to (0.5-0.9)F from object plane. Distance between first and second components amounts to (0.01-0.05)F and distance from prisms to eyes is (0.4-0.6)F, where F is focal distance of binocular magnifying glass. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced dimensions and increased magnification power of binocular magnifying glass. 1 cl, 1 dwg
