FIELD: electrical engineering; charging storage batteries with pulse current. SUBSTANCE: charger has input and output terminals for connecting DC power supply and charged storage battery, respectively. One of input and one of output terminals are interconnected through electric circuit set up of choke coil and cumulatively connected diode and diode incorporated in storage battery charging circuit. Connected to common point of choke coil and diode anode is circuit set up of two cumulatively connected thyristors controlled by pulses arriving from control unit. Common point of diode and diode incorporated in storage battery charging circuit is connected through capacitor to common point of thyristors. EFFECT: increased battery charging current due to using energy stored by capacitor. 1 dwg
