FIELD: neurology. SUBSTANCE: basic and concluding examinations of patient's cerebral vessels' condition are carried out involving fluorescent angiography of fundus of the eye. Nitroglycerin or carbogene test is also accomplished to estimate reactivity of cerebral vessels from indexes of temporal parameters of basic and concluding fluorescent angiography of fundus of the eye. Cerebral vessels condition is estimated by performing background fluorescent angiography with determination of the time of fluoresce in passage through vessels of choroid and retina and concluding test is performed after functional test is carried out. Method ensures revealing angiopathy stages in earlier phases of development of diabetic encephalopathy complications, provides more accurate parameters, visualizes ocular fundus vessels condition and, indirectly, cerebral vessels' condition, allows visualization of intimate anatomical-physiological interrelations between the vessels of retina and brain, and enables pathogenetically founded analysis of correlations between vascular damages in brain and eye.
