FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: reinforced block is intended for protection of coastal and hydraulic engineering structures, shores and coastal lines of seas, rivers, lakes, water storages, and canals from damage by hydrodynamic forces of waves and water streams. Also described is form for casting of reinforced blocks. Reinforced block has elongated central member and two external elongated members which are connected to central member at its opposite sides. Each elongated member of reinforced block is made of octagonal cross-section. Cross-sectional area is reduced from middle part of member in direction towards opposite ends of member. Longitudinal axes of external longitudinal members are parallel to each other and pass at right angle to longitudinal axis of central member. In other version of structural embodiment of reinforced block, longitudinal axes of external elongated members are coplanar. Reinforced blocks are used for erection of protective structure. Form for casting of reinforced block is made up of hollow elongated members which are arranged in compliance with spatial configuration of block to be cast. Aforesaid embodiment of elongated members of reinforced block with octagonal cross-section in combination with general spatial configuration of block ensures wedging and engagement of end parts of block members at properly arranged dense of free location of blocks in erection of protective structure. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, stability, and wave-suppressing capacity. 33 cl, 15 dwg, 2 tbl
