FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: elastomer shock-absorbing device includes reservoir filled with compressible elastomer possessing the flow properties and rod submersible in elastomer under action of outside forces. Rod is provided with head and plunger secured in guide of reservoir and set in motion in auxiliary chamber during each working stroke. Guide connected with wall of reservoir divides the reservoir into main chamber having form of body of revolution at varying diameter and auxiliary chamber. Diameter of plunger is lesser than diameter of outer portion of rod. Head is provided with flow-through passages fitted with check valve and used for connecting the spaces of main chamber divided by head.
