FIELD: medical devices, in particular, caries protection in dentistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves processing of enamel and dentine with series of laser beam pulses within range of 0.3-1.3 mcm, 1.6- 2.8 mcm, 3.2-9.6 mcm in free running mode. Duration of processing is not greater than 100 sec, number of pulse series is not greater than 10, duration between series is not less than 1 sec, power density of incident laser radiation depends on beam wavelength but is not greater than 2000 J per sq. cm. Corresponding device which implements said method has timer, modulator, and light-distribution blends, which provide distribution of radiation over tooth surface and protection of mouth tissues which do not require treatment against radiation. EFFECT: increased enamel and dentine hardness and resistivity to acids by factor of at least 1!5. 11 cl, 9 dwg
