FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: suspension has equalizer, frame, guide pipe rigidly connected with frame, shaft arranged concentrically in pipe and rubber resilient members. One end of shaft is secured on equalizer. Rubber resilient, members are made in form of rubber-and-metal bushing installed between guide pipe and shaft. Shaft is furnished with level. Lever is installed on free end of shaft for fixing on frame. For towing empty trailer lever should be brought out of engagement with frame. When wheel runs over road bump, torque is transmitted through equalizer and shaft to rubber-and-metal bushing which work in shifting with absorption of energy. When car tows a loaded trailer, lever should be rigidly fixed by pin on frame. When wheel runs over road bump, shaft together with rubber-and-metal bushings operate as torsion. EFFECT: smooth running of trailer, both empty and loaded, provided by variable-rate suspension. 2 cl, 1 dwg
