FIELD: household appliances, cars, building industry. SUBSTANCE: polymeric molding compound for manufacture of shaped components comprises thermoplastic polymer, filler and dark mineral fibers. Dark mineral fibers have length of 0.2-20 mm and thickness of 5-30 mcm. Thermoplastic polymer is isotactic polypropylene or propylene copolymer with not more than 17 wt % ethylene. Said molding compound further comprises rubber-like polypropylene compatible copolymer, the ratios of components being as follows (wt %) at least 50 isotactic polypropylene or propylene copolymer; not more than 50 rubber-like copolymer; not more than 50 filler; 0.5-15 dark mineral fibers in polymers. Claimed molding compounds are advantageous in the they have remarkable decorative effect, obvious economic advantages as compared with carbon fibers, they are capable of being treated without thermal or mechanical destruction and have additional strengthening effect. EFFECT: improved properties of the polymeric molding compound. 5 cl, 11 ex
