FIELD: experimental and clinical medicine. SUBSTANCE: for determination of hemostatic activity of preparation, the latter is applied to wound, and hemorrhage intensity is evaluated. In this case, individual characteristics of hemorrhage stopping spontaneously without hemostatic and intensity of hemorrhage stopped by preparation are taken into consideration. Hemostatic activity of preparation is determined by difference of hemorrhage intensity variation between theoretically expected value of intensity variation of spontaneously stopping hemorrhage and hemorrhage intensity variation under the action of local-effect styptic matrix preparations. Hemorrhage from model wound of rat liver under standardized conditions is described mathematically by formula of exponential dependence of its intensity from time. Extrapolation of hemorrhage intensity indices is performed with minimum quantity of model wounds to make conclusion about superiority of one hemostatic above the other. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of hemostatic activity evaluation. 2 dwg
