Abstract RU 2127508 C1

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for harvesting amaranth, which may be used for seed and feed production, has upper and lower cutters. More valuable seed material contained in panicles of plant top parts is cut by upper cutter and is conveyed by means of upper conveying device into vehicle. Upper cutter has active and passive lifters. Active lifter has cutting segments and passive lifter is provided with shear plate offset relative to lower cutter by distance equal to (1-3) - 2/3 of lifter length. Such construction allows panicles to be cut the moment they are at minimum distance from upper conveying device and prevents cut panicles from falling onto field. Lower cutter cuts plant mid and bottom parts. Seed panicles are threshed and top part is ground by grinder for further usage as feed. Separate harvesting of top seed panicles and bottom parts of plants allows top panicles to mature under stationary conditions.
