FIELD: technique of application of coatings onto articles in electrostatic field. SUBSTANCE: method involves periodic supply of paintwork material in several layers to the space between the device accomplishing its spraying and the article to be painted; the voltage is applied to the article to be painted and to the sprayer in the form of main and retrace pulses; the amplitude and length of the main pulse exceeds those of the retrace pulse.
