FIELD: papermaking. SUBSTANCE: paper is manufactured observing restriction of passage of melamine resin through decorative paper. Coating layer impregnated with partially hardened resin is placed onto non-impregnated decorative paper and finally hardened at temperatures close to 110-115 C and pressures above about 20 bar, more preferably close to 51-102 bar, in order to make resin flow from coating layer into decorative paper and for essentially complete hardening of melamine resin. Passage of melamine resin is restricted to about 10-20, more preferably to 12-17% of the weight of impregnated coating layer. Passage of melamine resin into impregnated decorative paper is restricted to about 1-3, more preferably to about 1-2% of the weight of impregnated decorative layer. EFFECT: increased wear resistance of paper. 10 cl, 3 tbl
