FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: according to given method, installed in mine superstructure is first mixing chamber of ejection-type ventilation unit, and its exhaust end is directed above shaft mouth to second mixing chamber of ejection-type ventilation unit from which air is released to atmosphere. Passage is provided leading from shaft mouth to first mixing chamber of ejection-type ventilation unit. Flowing through this passage is air from shaft mouth to first mixing chamber of ejection-type ventilation unit. Delivered to nozzle of first mixing chamber of ejection-type ventilation unit is air outcoming from ventilation unit of main ventilating plant. In this case, inleaks of air from mine superstructure are removed by ejection through mixing chamber of ejection-type ventilation unit and released to atmosphere. In this way, air curtain is provided above shaft mouth to barrier inleak flows going from shaft superstructure. However, the air curtain creates no obstacles for passing of load hoisting vessels. EFFECT: reducing power demand for ventilation of mines together with improving ventilation efficiency and this adds safety to extracting minerals in underground conditions. 2 dwg
