FIELD: manufacture of heat insulation construction materials, manufacture of superthin fibers from thermoplastic materials. SUBSTANCE: process of manufacture of fibers includes winning of gas-saturated melt from thermoplastic material, predominantly glass, with density 0.5-20.0% lower than specified weight of clarified melt. Portion of melt ( 5.0- 95.0% ) is centrifuged into thin fibers with subsequent gas-dynamic stretching with use of high-temperature energy carrier. Portion of 95.0-5.0% is puffed into superthin fibers with the aid of additional energy carrier - steam or compressed air in which acoustic vibrations with power of 110-175 dB are excited. Gear for implementation of process has centrifuge in the form of hollow shaft which lower end carries centrifugal cup with spinneret belt in its side surface, combustion chamber divided by ring partition into two isolated chambers. Gear also includes cavity and supersonic nozzle reducing overflow into compartment upstream of nozzle that has form of holes calibrated by diameter. Free cross-sectional areas of overflow and supersonic nozzle are interrelated as 0.3:1-3:1. Proposed invention is aimed at solving of problem of intensification of process, at expansion of technological capabilities of centrifugal- spinneret puffing, at increased productivity and at improved quality of heat insulation articles.
