DISCRETIZATION UNIT OF OPEN-END SPINNING FRAME Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: open-end spinning frames. SUBSTANCE: discretization drum of the discretization unit is made of shell covered with stretched fillet and accommodating immovable cylinder. Made along cylinder element is hollow formed by two surfaces and facing feed cylinder. One of the surfaces, in section, presents arc bent towards feed cylinder and the other surface is made in the form of semicircumference whose radius related to radius of immovable cylinder as 1:(4-5). The middle part of semicircumference has slot connected via vertical confuser with pneumatic suction device. Length of circumference of immovable cylinder relates to length of arc enclosing the hollow as 4:1. Beginning of hollow is located in horizontal plane running through longitudinal axis of feed cylinder. Shell surface has along element the slots positioned at an of 20-70 deg to tangent running through point of intersection of surface of discretization drum with slot axis. Slot is 1-1.5 mm wide. EFFECT: improved structure of fibrous material and higher efficiency of cleaning of fibrous material from foreign impurities. 4 cl, 2 dwg
